John McKenna Case founded Case Lighting Resources 50 years ago, and has since become established as one of the nation's foremost lighting designers and consultants. Today his creative talent and technical expertise are sought out by prestigious businesses and prominent individuals for both commercial and residential projects throughout the world.

Working closely with architects, interior designers, and landscape architects, Case utilizes controlled illumination to create dramatic effects in interior and exterior environments, and to enhance colors, forms, and textures. He is past president of COMBO, founder of Young Friends of the San Diego Symphony, and a former member of the board of directors for the San Diego Symphony and the La Jolla Playhouse. He also served as vice president and member of the board of directors for the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, and is a former member of the board of directors for the San Diego Chamber of Commerce.

John Case holds a bachelor of arts degree in business from San Diego State University, where he served as a cheerleader and president of his class. He was awarded Outstanding Young Citizen of San Diego, and was one of five Outstanding Young Citizens of California in.
